Contemporary Printmaking with Christopher Hagen

Contemporary Printmaking will cover new materials and techniques as well as alternative uses for traditional media, combined with a creative approach to image making specifically designed for printmakers. Introductory printmaking experience is highly recommended; beginners are encouraged to contact the instructor. This semester will focus on the low-toxicity “saline sulphate” etch for aluminium and other silvery metals, supplemented by chine collé and monoprint techniques. Additional techniques will be explored if time permits.

9:30am – 12:30pm, Tuesday mornings, commencing 24 July, $935 for 18 weeks.
