Introductory Silversmithing with Clare Poppi

This class is aimed at those new to working in metal for jewellery purposes. You will be introduced to key jewellery design concepts and the basic techniques for hand working in metal and non-traditional materials including piercing, sawing, filing, drilling, shaping, hammering, annealing, soldering and polishing. 
Sizing, stone setting and designing will be explored. You will be able to create a number of finished pieces such as rings, chains, pendants and bangles.

6.30 – 9.30pm, Tuesday evenings, commencing 18 July   (18 weeks).
