Pen and Wash (13 & 14 May)
Pen and Wash with Lizzie Connor
Pen and wash is a fresh and fun way of combining watercolour technique with your drawing. A wash is the term for a visual arts technique resulting in a semi-transparent layer of colour. A wash of diluted water colour paint applied in combination with drawing is called pen and wash. Normally only one or two colours of wash are used. Working from a diverse range of subjects, you will learn how to create a number of pen sketches. The use of different lines and marks to create tonal areas will be explored, and then lightly coloured wash or washes will be applied over selected areas of the drawing to emphasise focal points.
Saturday and Sunday, 13 and 14 May, 9.30am – 4.00pm (2 days)
