Silversmithing: Contemporary Practices with Renata Fojtikova

Silversmithing: Contemporary Practices is a course where you will learn about contemporary jewellery making practices such us riveting, stapling, kinetic components, alternative ways of colouring metal and using textile techniques for making jewellery. Students will also learn core silversmithing skills including sawing, saw piercing, drilling, filing, polishing and soldering. This course is suitable for people who enjoy creating unique jewellery that can’t be found in retail stores and also for anyone who would like to transfer their 2D art skills into 3D wearable art. This course is designed for beginners, as well as for experienced makers. Teenagers and kids (10 years up) also welcomed.

1:00pm – 4:00pm, Thursday afternoons, commencing 26 July, $985 for 18 weeks.
