Ideas & Images with Glen Skien
Ideas and Images is presented by artist/printmaker Glen Skien as an introductory studio-based course that blends printmaking, collage, book binding and assemblage works. Designed around the artist’s personal studio practice Ideas and Images combines approaches to traditional printmaking methods together with contemporary collage-based disciplines that include photographic montage, artists’ books and box assemblage works. Essentially this course will provide students with the opportunity to engage in a series of studio projects based on the notion of ‘material thinking’ that allows individual participants choice of medium and process to inform the narratives they wish to explore in their work.
