Armatures and Epoxy Clay               Carolyn V Watson

This workshop will provide students the chance to experiment with a wide range of simple sculptural techniques. It is through these experiments that the student will have the opportunity to develop a keen understanding of armature and assemblage construction and the importance of maquettes.  Materials used over the two days will include timber, wire and steel rod. The mystery and amazing possibilities of epoxy clay will be revealed by an experienced tutor. Student re required to bring ideas and images for a doll like sculpture that can be completed during the workshop. Material to be provide by tutor - epoxy clay, steel rod, wire, wire mesh, aluminium foil, dowel, cane.
