Fresco Painting and Embossing                       Nancy Brown

Fresco painting is one of the earliest forms of painting that dates from the Bronze Age across Europe, Egypt, Persia, India and Sri Lanka. In the ancient world it was one of the most popular and durable forms of painting. During this workshop, participants will create fresco pieces working into freshly laid lime plaster with pigments. The group will also explore fresco painting onto embossed, cast and poured plaster surfaces, which can also be incised, printed and carved.
