Fun with Illustration using Gouache

Monday to Wednesday | 26, 27 & 28 September | 12.30 – 4.30pm | 3 afternoons
Total: $ 350

Fun with Illustration using Gouache with Mia Clark - Structured drawing exercises taking inspiration from the natural world (flowers, leaves, shells, faces etc) We will look at varied ways to represent objects in pencil, pen and wash and gouache. We will start from realism and explore different ways to stylise and represent the subject more simply. Gouache is opaque watercolour and was the traditional choice for Illustrators before the digital age. It can be used thinly to look like watercolour and with less water it becomes opaque and light colours can be used over dark colours. It can be lifted like watercolour.
