Natural / Botanical Dyes and Shibori

Natural / Botanical Dyes and Shibori with Nancy Brown - Participants will learn to print and dye textiles using natural dye processes. Participants will learn about using mordants to extract pattern from plants and found objects, and the use of steam to set the dyes into the fibres. Create printed patterns from contact from freshly foraged leaves and rusty objects and explore indigo dyeing with Shibori folding, twisting and clamping, as well as printed resist pastes.
