Pastel Playtime

Pastel Playtime with Lizzie Connor - Artists’ soft pastel is a truly delightful medium to work with – flexible, colourful, a little messy and dusty (some people may choose to use a mask if they are sensitive to the dust). The workshop will be looking at mark making, blending, surfaces (pastel papers), how the colours of the pastel paper becomes part of the overall colour scheme.   Importantly students will be developing a better understanding of how soft pastel works, how they are made and used, what tools can be used with them for best outcome. Students will also make a lightly textured sheet of paper and working on that on Day 2.
