Ever wanted to create a snakeskin pattern in metal? Perhaps a checkerboard pattern? This two-day workshop introduces students to soldered married metal techniques. During this workshop, students will be shown a variety of techniques to create soldered ‘billets’, which when combined with twisting, cutting, and rolling, can create incredible effects suitable as either entire pieces, or as subtle additions to other pieces. The workshop will also cover simple yet effective inlay techniques to create rings, pendants, or earrings. During the workshop students will be encouraged to experiment and share their findings with the group. A fun and rewarding workshop for those who love pattern and contrast in jewellery.
