Drawing from the Monoprint

Wednesday mornings | 9:30am – 12:30pm | commencing 7 October | 9 weeks
Total: $ 640.00
Description

Monoprinting is a unique type of printmaking using printing ink and a reusable plate, combining elements of painting, drawing, and printing. The process is spontaneous and begins as an expressive mark-making journey, with each print having unique variations. You can explore your own subject matter or produce a series with little or no variation. In this class with Stephen Newton, you will further develop selected prints using additional drawing, painting, or printmaking media. Stephen will demonstrate each process and present options for structured or more intuitive exploration. Odourless water-based inks and water-based drawing media are used.
