Keum Boo is the Korean art of fusing gold to other metals through diffusion bonding. This 2-day workshop with Catherine Large will give you the opportunity to learn and practice this technique on Day 1, and complete a pendant or pair of earrings on Day 2. You will learn how to prepare the metal—including gold foil—and control the heat required to fuse the gold to the surface. This technique is also suitable for use with vitreous enamelling.
