Children’s Handbuilding Ceramics Term 1 (6 – 12 years) with Raquel Diniz invites children to discover the joy of working with clay in a relaxed, playful environment. Participants will learn foundational techniques for shaping and handling clay, explore commonly used tools and how to care for their workspace, and understand the difference between clay and ceramics, and the steps that transform one into the other. Through guided handbuilding activities, children will uncover how clay connects to everyday life—both as a material and a source of creativity. Is clay calming? Easy or challenging? We’ll explore these questions together through tactile experimentation and artistic curiosity. Perfect for curious young minds ready to get their hands dirty and dive into the art of ceramics.
