This workshop with Rebecca Davis is for beginner to intermediate painters interested in transforming historical photography into expressive contemporary oil paintings. Working from found imagery, you’ll explore how artists use photographs as source material and how your own vintage photos or C20th archives can spark new ideas. The course begins with small exercises before moving into a major painting. Bring a sketchbook and a selection of vintage photo printouts or originals to work from.
