Drawing: Applying the Elements of Art

In this workshop with Dennis Magee, you will investigate the various ‘elements’ of art as they apply to drawing. Given the emphasis on the elements of art and design in the school curriculum this workshop will be suitable for professional development for teachers in both high school and primary school. You will investigate a range of drawing materials and techniques including, pencil, graphite, conte crayon, white on black drawing and colour media. You will explore the qualities of these materials as they are applied to the elements of art including, line, tone, shape, form, texture, value, volume space.
