
Introduction to Small Scale Forming and Folding with Catherine Large will provide an introduction into manipulating metal to create volume. During this 9-week course, there will be an opportunity to familiarise yourself with the possibilities of small-scale construction using simple folding and cutting methods, as well as chasing and repoussé and use of the hydraulic press There will be a focus on experimentation - making samples, experimenting with the techniques offered as well as time to complete pieces. This course is suitable for students with some existing skills in jewellery making.
