Making with Mid-fire Translucent Porcelain

Making with Mid-fire Translucent Porcelain with Dianne Peach - Using straight or adding paper and colour we will explore this exquisite material through hand building, wheel, and plaster mould use.  Techniques such as kurinuki, pinch, & coil as well as slip-casting and throwing will be used to make a range of small-scale vessels or sculptures.  Decorations will include sgraffito, carving, inlay, resist patterns, terra sigillata, nerikomi, etc.  Selected works may be bisque fired when dry.
