Abstracted Seascapes with Clare Purser - Through a series of experimental exercises we will look at different ways of abstracting from the sea. You may find inspiration in Moreton Bay and its islands, or perhaps the Sunshine or Gold Coast. Please bring along visual material gathered from either colour printouts or your iPad. As well as some collage material eg. Old paintings, sketches or prints on paper. We will gather ideas and painterly sketches in our visual diary that will serve as a springboard for you to develop paintings from. From this process you can choose to complete your painting on heavy paper or on a canvas.
