Life Modelling in Clay

Life Modelling in Clay with Stephen Newton - This workshop responds to the life model using clay. Participants will have access to a life model for the duration of the workshop and will produce several sculptures and some drawings in a variety of poses and level of detail. Participants will develop their knowledge of the human figure through observation, hand-eye coordination, and clay modelling and carving techniques. This workshop will benefit anyone who enjoys the human figure and wants to develop new techniques, as well as those who wish to enhance existing skills by exploring a three-dimensional response to the figure.
