This course with Gwenn Tasker introduces students to copper and aluminium etching. It will include: plate preparation, line etching, rosin and spray aquatint, sugarlift, spitbite, intaglio press setting and operation, inking and wiping plates, making registration sheets for single plate images. Students will gain an understanding of the strengths and limitations of both copper and aluminium etching. It is anticipated that students will produce a small resolved image in both copper and aluminium.
