Japanese Sumi-e Ink Painting with Yumiko Kigoshi - This form of ink painting celebrates the beauty and spirit of nature. Deeply connected to the seasons, it reflects the Japanese appreciation of flowers, insects, and landscapes. Participants learn to work with traditional black ink and colourful Gansai pigments while exploring materials such as gelatine, dosaeki, and shironuki. Experiment with different papers and techniques to understand how materials interact to create distinctive textures, tones, and expressions.
