This course with Mia Clark will guide you in developing original artworks through an intuitive approach. We will begin with various mark-making techniques and brainstorm personal imagery and motifs that resonate with you. You'll gather imagery and objects to inspire a series of paintings. This process will help you become more attuned to your unique color schemes, lines, shapes, and painting styles.
We'll experiment with painterly monoprinting methods, gelli plate prints, transfer techniques, stencils, stamps, and texture creation. Additionally, we'll use collages made from our own painted paper to create new works and explore painting on unconventional surfaces.
