Description

Join ceramic artist Kirstin Farr for a hands-on four day workshop where you’ll design and create a personalised tableware collection. You’ll start by making prototypes of a plate, pasta bowl, and beaker, then learn how to transform your designs into plaster moulds. Using clay slabs for press moulds and liquid clay slip for the beakers, you’ll produce multiples and begin building your own set. Along the way, you’ll discover how to alter forms and add personalised touches to suit your style. You’ll also learn simple decorating techniques to apply before firing. Two pieces from each mould will be bisque fired for you, ready to use, admire, or gift. Take your moulds home so you can keep growing your collection. This workshop is just the beginning of your journey into mould making and slip casting. All materials provided, just bring your notepad and pencil!
